Frequently asked questions

WHAT ARE YOUR PACKAGES?

I offer three packages that include 5 hours of coverage, 8 hours, and 10 hours. The average couple invests $3150. Send me a message for a more detailed overview of what each package includes.

Can I see some sample galleries?

what is your editing style?

I like to say my editing style is what you see in real life is what you’ll see in your photographs! My images are light and airy, but true to life. Think classic and timeless, I never want your wedding images to feel extremely outdated by the editing I choose to do.

Do you photograph LGBTQ+ weddings?

Heck yes! Head over to my contact page and shoot me a message.

Have you shot at my venue before?

If you’re getting married local to Maryland, I may have already photographed at your venue a few times! Just let me know your venue and I’ll let you know if I’ve photographed there yet.

Do you travel? If so, what is your travel range and pricing?

Yes, I do! My wedding travel range includes anything within 60 miles of Taneytown, MD. Anything over 60 miles the standard business mileage rate applies. For complimentary engagement sessions, the locations chosen should be within a half hour range, one way, from Taneytown, MD (one hour total of travel). Send me a message for more information or if you have any questions.

How many photos do I get?

A minimum of 50 images are delivered for each portrait session (including engagement sessions) and a minimum of 800 images are delivered for each full day wedding.

Can I print the photos on my own?

Yes! If you order prints online through a company like Shutterfly, you won’t need a print release. If you go through a place like Walmart, you will. Just send me an email and I’ll send over a copy of a signed print release.

Do you offer books or prints?

Yes! I offer Signature Books, if you’re interested I will send a PDF that includes all the choices you have with designing your book. The process of creating one is super easy! Favorite your must include photographs in your online gallery and I do the rest :). Through your online gallery you can also order prints of all sizes and types. Let me know if you need help navigating your gallery to order prints.

Are you insured?

Yes! Let me know if your venue needs an insurance form.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2016!

Do you always have a second photographer? Is it always the same person?

Yes, unless you are booking coverage for a mini-mony, elopement, or micro wedding. All full day regular wedding day packages include a second photographer. I have an awesome network of wedding photographers that I work with that are my seconds! We all are photographing weddings, so we work around each other’s schedules. So, I usually don’t have the same photographer as my second for each wedding, but they typically work with me multiple times throughout the year.

Should we do an engagement session?

This is totally up to you! If you’re nervous about being in front of a camera, doing an engagement session lets you have the opportunity to warm up to me pointing a camera at you! If you’d rather just save photo time for your wedding day, you can bypass the engagement session.

Can I swap out the engagement session for something else?

The engagement session is complementary to your package, so if you choose to not do one, that’s totally fine! But, it cannot be swapped for another type of session or additional coverage.

Do you retouch photos?

I don’t do extensive retouching on my images, but every images passes through my hands and gets standard retouching. If you’d like more extensive retouching, please contact me and we can go over prices.

How do we book?

When you are ready to book you sign the contract and pay the retainer! Doing this secures your date. Details for paying the retainer is in the contract.

What is your backup plan if you’re sick?

If I am sick and unable to make it to your wedding, my second photographer will take over as lead and I will be in touch with my network of photographers and make sure you are covered! If this does happen, please know that it is the absolute worst case scenario that I cannot make your wedding day and will be working hard to ensure your day is captured beautifully. If there is a serious medical emergency, someone I've entrusted to take over will be in touch with you ASAP. For more questions related to this and COVID, please contact me.

Do you backup your images? What is the likelihood that something could happen and the images from my wedding could be lost?

Yes, all images are backed up three times. Once to a working external portable hard drive, one to a backup of that portable external hard drive, and once to a stationary hard drive. When your final gallery is delivered, the images will remain on the online gallery unless you are otherwise notified. Please take the time to download your entire wedding gallery and save it to your computer, USB, or an external hard drive. Once the images are delivered to you, they are your responsibility to download and backup.

What is the likelihood that something could happen and the images from my wedding could be lost?

Sadly, I can’t guarantee anything 100%. Unfortunately that’s just not how the world works! But what I can ensure is that on wedding days, your images are recorded to two memory cards in case one were to fail. Once the memory cards are full, they’re stored in a waterproof/fireproof container that remains in my equipment bag all day. Once home, those images are transferred to my working external hard drive and the backup external hard drive. Your images are never deleted off of any external hard drive. Even with these steps in place, nothing is 100% foolproof. Accidents happens, software issues happen, and unprecedented events happen (I mean, COVID has just showed us how crazy life can turn!!). If something were to happen to your images, I will be in touch and we can figure out how to move forward and makeup for the loss.
